Aaah..... Funki, Funki, Funghi. Chi ama al funghi parla la lingua degli angeli (translated: who loves the mushroom speaks the language of angels). Parla nuff(nuff said). The perveyor of porn returns to haunt the greengrocer inside your stereo with a devastating blend of rock'n'soul musik. The much anticipated third album from the original pervmeister meanders through the undergrowth of junzzgle, a twisted
territory where Pharoah Sanders chews antipasta with Dillinja over a fine glass of vino. Funki refines his unique smell to produce some slinky jazz classics, while still managing to make you laugh AND piss the neighbours off at the same time. Porcini has been on a long journey of debauched hedonism since the success of 'Love, Pussycats & Carwrecks'. He was approached by the High Ambassador of Abu Dhabi and offered a million pounds to record a sonata for the ambassador's favourite camel. Porcini reticently accepted this offer and spent two years in the Sahara Desert, learning the Way of the Camel. The upshot of this was that Funki, now more of a bedouin than a popstar, chose to ride on camel-back
through the main centres of Western snivilisation,preaching to those who would listen about the evils of money and the goods of Abu Dhabi. This album was recorded live in Monte Carlo, where Porcini jammed with the likes of Robert Maxwell, Ken Dodd and other tax reprobates to produce a scintillating
tribute to those who have managed to skank this country and leave to finer pastures, where cows chew culture instead of drinking beer, watching television and complaining about the weather. Welcome to the Ultimately Empty Million Pounds.... the psychedelicatessen is back in session. Again.
